We are at an end of an era with the 1.7 World soon to leave Linktart server to make room for the future of awesomeness! To celebrate the existence of the 1.7 World and all of the interesting builds, people and events it brought to us we are having loads of epic events with prizes, TNT and building! Read on ahead to see what we have planned for the week ahead. WARNING - Some dates/times may change, keep your eyes peeled on this article for the latest info.

Build Contest – NOW – 03/02/2012 7pm

Ah, the bread and butter of Minecraft, building! Over the next week starting from Today we have a build contest open to all players with some awesome prizes including the winning build to be displayed in the Town Hall, Melon Stem and a super secret chest which can be seen below.

I know you guys are dying to see what is in that chest! So what are the rules?! Your build must be linked to the 1.7 World in some way, either this being a memorial to some of the awesome structures that were created, lost players due from banning/inactivity or just recreating an incident that made the 1.7 World what it is. Server rules still apply so no “male parts” memorials or anything that would be offensive to other players (steve heads). Stuck for ideas? Here are a few examples, 100s of diamond ore blocks from the unstable land incidents, balloon ports, the remembrance of the need for a bank, mob arena, world border, fiery pigs, grief r us, fire protection getting disabled and many more I’m sure you guys can think of! If you want to join in the fun just enter the portal at spawn near the 1.7 World Portal, this will take you to the plot land where you can choose a plot by placing a sign on it. Remember no peeping!!!

End of the World – 05/02/2012 – 6pm

We all spent countless hours re arranging the blocks of the 1.7 World to create some truly outstanding builds and the only right way to celebrate this is by blowing them up to smithereens! FT has been busy working away on a separate test server which is going to be used especially for this event to keep the server crashes/lag to a minimum. Minecraft is still a broken game in terms of performance so we would still advise players to take it easy at first and slowly progress as the night goes on especially if you want to use one of the special donator bonuses! We will be placing random chests full of TNT which all players are free to use, also all your items left in the 1.7 world will be usable there, as the night progresses and if the server holds up we may give out some lava blocks/admins powers to random players. The full information on this event including server IP and such will come closer to the event date.

Donator Bonuses

• Personal Double Chest of TNT - Privatised chest with 100s of blocks of TNT inside. - 1x Melon Stem
• 20x20x20 Block of TNT placement - Have a massive square of TNT placed via an Admin to really send off your build with a bang! - 1x Melon Stem
• Stack of Lava Blocks - Bored with Explosions?! Time to melt players builds! - 2x Melon Stem
• /Fireball command - Shoots fireballs similar to Ghasts, less destructive but great for burning down wooden houses (lasts for 10 minutes) - 2x Sponges
• /Vulcan Command - Like firing tnt blocks at a 100 miles per hour! (Lasts for 10 minutes) - 2x Sponges + 1x Melon Stem
• /Vulcan 20 Command - Same as above but 20x more powerful. Use responsibly! (Lasts for 10 minutes) - 4x Sponges

This has been a long while coming due to the Christmas break but hopefully things should be back on track for monthly giveaways now! Myself and the whole admin team would like to thank everyone who has supported the server over the holidays, we are constantly changing the donations rewards to meet players needs and to give you a little extra than just the warm feeling you get from supporting your favorite server. Anyways, on to the announcement!

Another month and yet another victory for the awesome trixilux! Congratulations! You have won yourself another full set of Diamond Armour along with an Enchanted sword and an extra melon stem as a bonus for consecutive wins! Hopefully this is enough to get her off Skyrim and real-world enjoyment!

We will be continuing month on month from now on so the next prize is January 1st – January 31st, winner will be announced during the first week of February.

You can now fill in a request for your free 1.7 build move by posting in this thread!

The request thread will be open until around 5pm on the 24th January in which it will be closed and the Admins will being the build moves. Remember free moves don’t allow you to chose the location or orientation of your build on the 1.0 World, we will try to match the biomes closely but we do not promise that they will match. Try to keep the information in the request thread as clear as possible as if there any issues with the build moves the Admins may be unable to solve it. If you miss the 24th January cut-off or would like to chose where your build goes on the 1.0 World you can still use a donation build move ticket for a measly £5 and get yourself an awesome chest with your leftover melon stem. See here.

You should all know her well enough by now as she has been a staple member of the server for a number of months now, but we do ask players to go a little easier on her at first as this is her first time being a Minecraft Admin so she has plenty of commands to learn. She has plenty of experience as a moderator though so don’t expect to be able to get past her iron fist!
