News reached my ear that the people of LinkTart need glowstone. I will be around tomorrow 06/04/12 at 18.00 – 20.00, to hand out some glowing goodies!

But it isn’t free. Each person will be recieved with a random task that they have to complete before receiving his/her reward.

New Server Rules

As part of expanding the playerbase and attempting to improve our community I have now created a new set of server rules that are hosted on the LinkTart site here.

The important parts are regarding the changes to the rules on bannings and the new whitelisting policy. This new policy no longer requires that a player has an OcUK account but it does require a much more thorough “background check” for the new player. I believe that this will allow us to attract a good number of new and responsible players and keep things fun for everyone

We are now running Minecraft 1.2

Be sure to update your clients to Minecraft version 1.2.3

Changes (aside from those of MC 1.2):

* VoxelPort removed.
* RealTeleporter installed (to replace VoxelPort).
* Website chat integration now works with smilies :p
* LinkTart world border limits extended to 8000×8000 (was 7000×7000).
* LinkTart_nether world border limits extended to 1000×1000 (was 872×872).

Important Information Regarding BarterSigns and Minecraft 1.2

Please remove all your items from your barter signs!

It looks like BarterSigns is not being updated any time soon and there is a very real chance that we will lose it when we upgrade to 1.2. Please be sure to remove your items in the next couple of days (if all goes well I hope to upgrade on Monday or thereabouts).

In light of this, please can anyone that is available help us test 1.2 again (with hopefully fixed perms now):

1.2 Testing

We are reaching a point where Bukkit for 1.2 may be a possibility. As such, we’re asking that players have a look at our 1.2 test server and provide feedback with any problem or bugs that they find.

As you will need to update to Minecraft 1.2 in order to play on the server please be sure that you know how to revert to 1.1 if you then want to play on the normal server. [Files available here]
